Alfen has secured a long-term power supply agreement with an innovative technology company CATL.
With this agreement, Alfen said that it will be able to address demand and secure its supply chain for energy storage systems throughout Europe.
The latest development comes at a time when energy storage market is expected to grow ~60% in 2024 in terms of megawatt-hours (MWh) in utility and commercial storage, a local report mentioned.
Marco Roeleveld, CEO of Alfen, was quoted in a statement, "This agreement strengthens our cooperation with CATL. With this agreement in place, we can continue to deliver our TheBattery™ energy storage solutions and support Europe's growing expansion in renewable energy and balance electricity supply and demand."
Since 2011, Alfen has been developing energy storage systems and so far, has made installations of over 777 MWh of energy capacity contracted in 11 European countries, it informed.
