Alight and Autoliv Sign Landmark PPA for Finland's Largest Solar Park

Alight, a leading Nordic solar developer, and Autoliv, the world’s largest automotive safety supplier, have signed a landmark 100 MWp power purchase agreement (PPA) to build the largest solar park in Finland to date, located in Eurajoki.

Under this agreement, Alight will finance, construct, and operate the solar facility, while Autoliv will secure a long-term supply of clean electricity at stable, low prices.

The project aligns with Autoliv’s sustainability goals, following its 2021 commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030. The solar park is expected to produce 100 GWh annually, powering around 20,000 households when operational in 2026.

Construction is set to begin this spring, and upon completion, it will become one of Finland’s largest solar parks, contributing to the nation’s energy independence.

Alight has secured €46 million in financing from SEB and ABN AMRO to support the project. Warren Campbell, CEO of Alight, emphasized the potential of solar power to complement Finland’s wind energy and accelerate the country’s transition to a low-carbon future.
