Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria has financed a 54MW solar plant in Spain.
The company provided a €38 million green loan to multinational group of companies Solarpack through a special purpose vehicle. It has been informed that currently the project is in ready-to-build status in Murcia.
According to the company, the loan for the “construction, development and operation of the project was structured as a green facilities agreement.”
A local report mentioned that the WFW Madrid Finance team acted as advisor on the deal, while it was led by partner Rodrigo Berasategui.
Solarpack has been building different projects in Spain, along with Europe, the US, Asia and Africa.
To be noted, the company is specialized in the development, financing, construction, operation and management of utility scale solar photovoltaic power plants.
