Blue Elephant Energy GmbH (BEE), a Hamburg-based solar and wind farm operator, has finalized the acquisition of an 88 MWp solar PV portfolio in the Netherlands from Dutch developer TPSolar. This milestone marks a significant addition to BEE’s renewable energy assets.
The portfolio includes three projects at varying stages of development:
50 MWp in northeast Netherlands, slated for commissioning by year-end 2025.
29 MWp in the south, set for Q2 2025 commissioning.
9 MWp in the south, already connected to the grid.
Once operational, these projects will collectively save approximately 48,830 tons of CO2 emissions and 38,493 m³ of water annually, supporting the Netherlands’ 2035 climate targets.
With this acquisition, BEE's Dutch portfolio grows to 717 MWp, contributing to its overall renewable energy capacity of 1,730 MW across nine countries, including solar, wind, and battery storage systems.
Tim Kallas, Chief Investment Officer of BEE, remarked, “This investment reflects our commitment to sustainable growth and strengthens our partnership with TPSolar.”
Martin Voigt, CFO of TPSolar, added, “The cooperation with BEE has been instrumental in achieving our 2024/2025 goals and advancing our growth plans.”
This transaction underscores both companies' dedication to driving the energy transition and fostering a greener future.
