BNZ has officially launched its first solar projects in Italy with the opening of the Rinaldone, Mandrione, and Camposcala plants in Lazio.
These facilities, with a total capacity of 135 MW, will supply nearly 60% of the annual electricity needs of Montalto di Castro and Viterbo while reducing CO2 emissions by 66,287 tons per year.
Beyond energy production, the project brings economic and environmental benefits. Around 200 jobs were created, and BNZ has partnered with local farmers on biodiversity initiatives. The company has also funded solar systems for public schools in Viterbo to promote clean energy use.
The initiative was made possible with the support of regional and local authorities, including the Lazio Region, the Province and Municipality of Viterbo, and the Municipality of Montalto di Castro. BNZ acknowledges all stakeholders who contributed to the project’s success.
