Spanish renewable project developer Capital Energy has announced that it is all set to receive financing for 206 MW of wind and solar farm projects.
The power retailer made such announcement last week. It informed that it has already closed an agreement to obtain this financing. The projects will be based in Spain itself.
According to the company, “it secured EUR165 million (USD 165 million) project finance from Germany's MEAG, the asset manager of reinsurance company Munich Re and insurance firm ERGO,” a report quoted.
It has been informed that this financing will be used for three wind projects with a total capacity of 159 MW. Similarly, it will be used for one 8MW solar PV project which is in development.
Likewise, financing will be used also in the 39.05-MW Las Tadeas wind farm, which is already operational.
The projects are reported to be located in Spain's central regions and are in different stages of development. As per the company, the projects will start operation between 2022 and 2024.
