Exus Renewables has expanded into Poland with the acquisition of two significant wind farm portfolios: a 1,056 MW portfolio (acquired from Energetyka Polska) and a 53 MW portfolio. These acquisitions strengthen Exus' renewable energy presence across Europe, marking a key step in its European growth strategy.
The 1,056 MW wind portfolio, located in south and southwest Poland, is under development and will be advanced in collaboration with Energetyka Polska, a company with over 20 years of experience in wind farm development. The 53 MW portfolio, comprising two wind farms in west-central Poland, is under construction and expected to be operational by Q3 2025. These projects will also integrate 65 MW of PV capacity through cable pooling.
Exus has established a Polish subsidiary and a local team with deep industry expertise to support these projects.
Aygen Yayikoglu, Exus' Chief Business Development Officer, commented: “This expansion is a significant milestone for our European growth and independent power producer strategy. These projects will contribute to delivering more clean energy to millions of households across Europe.”
Exus plans further growth in Europe through additional acquisitions and the development of wind, solar, BESS, and co-located renewable energy projects.
PwC Poland advised on both transactions.
