Ferrovial to build a solar farm with a 200MW capacity in Spain

Spanish contractor Ferrovial is all set to build a solar farm with a 200MW capacity in Spain.

The company has won a €100m turnkey contract for the project, which is located in

southwestern Badajoz region.


It has been informed that the contract covers engineering, construction and the commissioning of the plant. Besides, it will also handle operation and maintenance during the first two years.

According to the company, the project will have the installation of 350,000 bifacial photovoltaic modules. These modules can produce 400GWh of energy annually.

This energy would be sufficient to power at least 118,100 homes. It has been informed that the work is due to take over a year.
