French renewable energy developer Albioma has acquired a portfolio of six PV power plants in Brazil.
With this, the company has entered the Brazilian solar market. The company inked the deal with solar developer GreenYellow.
With this acquisition, Albioma informed that it has become the sole shareholder of the companies owning these projects.
The projects have a total installed capacity of 31.6MWp. The power plants are based in four states and are now fully operational under a distributed generation system.
According to Albioma, the Brazilian local competition authority has already approved the transaction.
It has been reported that the latest acquisition marks Albioma's entry into solar power in Brazil which has reflected strong growth potential.
Albioma aims to explore the Brazilian market in line with its international diversification strategy.
