GES has secured a contract to build a solar farm in Spain.
The contract has been obtained for Dunas Capital. The solar project will be located in Torrijos in Toledo. It will be spread at an area of 58.8 hectares of land.
According to the company, the 19.79MWp project has already started construction works. In total, the plant will be composed of 34,720 panels of 570Wp/unit.
GES will handle the “design and engineering, construction of the civil and electrical works, supply of equipment and materials, commissioning, necessary tests for the correct operation of the photovoltaic plants and the voltage step up substation, as well as the energisation process and maintenance of the plant,” as per the company.
The solar plant will generate 42,590 MWh of power annually. This amount is equivalent to the annual consumption of around 13,000 homes in Spain.
The project is further likely to avoid the emission of around 40,200 tonnes of CO2-eq over the same period.
This project will be commissioned by 2023.
