GreenVolt has kicked off the development of renewable projects in Poland with a total capacity of 59MW.
The construction of the projects include wind, solar and storage. The projects are likely to be sold next year.
According to the company, the first project Sompolno has 26MW of wind capacity, 10MW of solar and 3MW of storage.
The project is located in Sompolno in central-western Poland, and it is likely to be operational in the first half of 2024.
The company informed that the second project Opalenica includes three solar parks with a total capacity of 20MW. It is located in Opalenica city in central-western Poland. The project is likely to enter into commercial operation by 2023.
João Manso Neto, CEO of GreenVolt, said in the statement, “The decision to build these two projects in Poland is completely in line with GreenVolt’s strategy of taking advantage of the high demand for assets ready to operate, confirming the capacity of our team to develop projects until the construction stage and generate value through our asset rotation strategy.”
Earlier in Poland, GreenVolt signed an agreement to sell a portfolio of assets to Iberdrola for €155 million.
