GreenYellow Vietnam has acquired 70% stakes in Binh Dinh solar farm in Vietnam. It is a 49.5 MWp asset in operation in Binh Dinh province of Vietnam.
With the latest acquisition, GreenYellow has become the operator of Binh Dinh solar park. The company acquired the Vietnamese subsidiary of Qair as well.
The latest development cones as the company plans to expand its presence throughout Southeast Asia.
According to GreenYellow, it has made this acquisition as a first large-scale investment in ASEAN region. A report mentioned that this “acquisition comes on top of an existing large private C&I portfolio that includes private off-takers. “
The latest acquisition is expected to allow the company to manage both large-scale utility products and private self-consumption under the direct power purchase arrangement.
GreenYellow has pledged to further support future opportunities for renewable energy in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Currently, the company has a total portfolio of 150MWp solar power generation capacity in Vietnam.
