Vietnamese city Hanoi has announced to extend the necessary support to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for clean and renewable energy business.
According to the Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, Hanoi will provide the best conditions for businesses from UAE.
Besides renewable energy, it is particularly looking for cooperation in areas like smart city development, science-technology, tourism and industrial production.
During a recent meeting, the duo expressed their delight at the development of Vietnam-UAE friendship and pledged to work together in the given areas. They said that both major cities Hanoi and Dubai share many similarities in the economic development orientation, thus have huge potential for cooperation.
To be noted, currently, the UAE is one of Vietnam’s major trading partners in the Middle East, and also one of the largest investors from Gulf countries in the Southeast Asian nation.
Both Hanoi and Dubai could have cooperation in solar energy, they said. The duo is likely to sign a memorandum of understanding in the near future.
