Writer: Energy BoxEnergy Box

ib vogt has achieved financial close and begun construction on a 29.99MW solar project in Sungei Petani, Kedah, Malaysia under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP).

The project, developed by ib vogt APAC, will supply renewable energy to Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) hyperscale data center specialist AirTrunk through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

As the first CGPP project to start construction, it features bi-facial modules and a single-axis tracking system to maximize solar energy generation. Once operational, it is expected to offset 55,380 tons of CO2 annually.

This project contributes to Malaysia’s renewable energy targets, supporting sustainability goals while providing clean, reliable power for the future.
