ib vogt GmbH and Firma Energy have announced that their application for the Dean Moor Solar Farm has been officially accepted by the UK Planning Inspectorate.
Located between the villages of Gilgarran and Branthwaite in West Cumbria, the solar farm is set to deliver at least 150 MW of clean, renewable energy, contributing significantly to the UK’s transition to a more sustainable future.
The Dean Moor Solar Farm is expected to not only generate renewable energy but also bring local benefits such as job creation and economic growth. As the project moves forward, further updates will be shared with stakeholders and the public.
The project has also been supported by a strong team of partners, including Broadfield UK, Stantec, Ardent, and Alpaca Communications, who have played a vital role in preparing the application. Additionally, Cumberland Council provided valuable engagement throughout the planning process.
