Iberdrola's global renewable energy production up 13.2% y-o-y in Q3 2024


Spanish utility Iberdrola SA (BME:IBE) generated 18,119 GWh of electricity from its renewables around the world during the third quarter, marking an increase of 13.2% year-on-year, according to its latest provisional energy report.


For the January-September period, production from renewables worldwide rose by 7.4% to 63,299 GWh, the company said.


There were some highs and lows in renewables output across Iberdrola’s global markets during both observed periods compared to the year-ago figures: Spain (Q3: +34.8%; 9-mo: +24.8%), UK (Q3: -8.0%; 9-mo: +3.2%), USA (Q3: -2.8%; 9-mo: 0.8%), Mexico (Q3: -7.0%; 9-mo: 3.6%), Brazil (Q3: 1.5%; 9-mo: -22.3%), and the Rest of the World markets (Q3: 39.1%; 9-mo: 35.3%).
