Construction of the first phase of the Gau-Bickelheim retrofit project, which will be expanded in two construction phases and will initially include 13 Enercon E-160 systems with a capacity of approximately 72 MW, is already operational by the end of 2023. “Thanks to the construction approval for phase 3 that BImSchG received at the end of 2023, we can realize the construction of phases 2 and 3 in one piece,” said Michael Böhm, Managing Director of Wiwi Consult. A third project is under construction in the city of Sauerberg in the southwestern Palatinate. In addition to the structural implementation of the above-mentioned projects, the company is also working on several projects in various stages of planning. This year alone, it hopes to bring wind projects with a total capacity of 130 MW into the BImSchG process. Wiwi Consult will therefore complement the 140 MW currently in various BImSchG programs.
