In addition to wind energy, Wiwi Consult also implements photovoltaics for the first time

Mainz project developer Wiwi Consult hopes to implement photovoltaics for the first time in 2024, in addition to established wind energy developments. As announced by the company, the focus is on the implementation of two wind and one solar projects at three locations in Rhineland-Palatinate. It also hopes to submit several projects to the BImSchG process over the course of a year.

Construction of the first phase of the Gau-Bickelheim retrofit project, which will be expanded in two construction phases and will initially include 13 Enercon E-160 systems with a capacity of approximately 72 MW, is already operational by the end of 2023. “Thanks to the construction approval for phase 3 that BImSchG received at the end of 2023, we can realize the construction of phases 2 and 3 in one piece,” said Michael Böhm, Managing Director of Wiwi Consult. The wind farm is the largest in the company’s history to date. s project.

Wiwi Consult will implement the first solar power project in Waldböckelheim in the Bad Kreuznach district. “With our first photovoltaic project, we are reaching another milestone in the company’s history,” said Böhm. "It is less than 1.5 years away from the start signal of internal development of a strong photovoltaic team." The existing solar park will be expanded in area, and the total power generation capacity will reach about 4 MW after it is put into operation.

A third project is under construction in the city of Sauerberg in the southwestern Palatinate. In the future, the Nordex N149 wind turbine with an output of 5.7 MW will provide clean, green electricity. In addition to the structural implementation of the above-mentioned projects, the company is also working on several projects in various stages of planning. This year alone, it hopes to bring wind projects with a total capacity of 130 MW into the BImSchG process. Wiwi Consult will therefore complement the 140 MW currently in various BImSchG programs.
