Masdar, TotalEnergies, and EPointZero have signed a Framework for Action (FFA) to drive clean energy access in emerging markets across Africa and Asia. This agreement strengthens collaboration between the UAE and France, following discussions between President Mohamed bin Zayed of the UAE and President Emmanuel Macron of France, focusing on key sectors such as climate action and energy.
Masdar and TotalEnergies will work together to provide sustainable electricity to communities in Africa and support the transformation of energy systems, while also exploring new clean energy opportunities in Southeast Asia. TotalEnergies and EPointZero will partner to support India’s clean energy goals, focusing on solar, wind, and energy storage.
The agreement was signed in Paris on February 16, 2025, during the UAE-France High Level Business Council’s third plenary meeting. It was witnessed by H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry, and senior executives from Masdar, TotalEnergies, and 2PointZero.
The FFA highlights the shared commitment to advancing the energy transition, accelerating decarbonization, and driving socio-economic growth in these regions. The partnership aims to scale up renewable energy and energy storage to ensure reliable, sustainable power for millions.
The UAE-France High Level Business Council, launched in 2022, continues to foster innovation and cooperation to promote clean energy solutions, supporting the global energy transformation.
