This will power water pumps in Cavite.
MSpectrum, Inc., a wholly owned solar subsidiary of electric distribution company Manila Electric Company, has energized a $42,800 (PHP2.5m) rooftop solar facility for General Trias Water Corporation (GTWC).In a statement, MSpectrum said the project has a capacity of 33 kilowatt-peak (kWp) that can generate around 45,350 kWh of clean energy annually.
This will help energize GTWC’s water pumps, making it the first in the area to do so.The project will also help GTWC generate energy savings and reduce its carbon footprint by an estimated 32.3 metric tonnes, translating to more than 1,400 trees planted and more than 79,000 kilometres reduced in vehicle travel per year. With its eight years in the industry, MSpectrum has so far installed over 80 megawatts of rooftop solar projects, estimated to power around 40,000 households.
