NHOA Energy and Elecnor Launch Blyth Battery: 477MWh Energy Storage Asset for Neoen

NHOA Energy has successfully completed the construction and commissioning of Neoen’s 238.5 MW / 477 MWh Blyth Battery in partnership with Elecnor Australia.
Delivered on time, on budget, and meeting performance requirements from AEMO and ElectraNet, the Blyth Battery will firm the output of Neoen’s Goyder South Stage 1 wind farm, providing 70 MW of renewable baseload power to BHP and other services to the national electricity market.
This project was financed by international lenders and showcases NHOA Energy’s technical excellence and project management. NHOA will now handle operations and maintenance under a long-term contract to ensure the battery’s performance.
Blyth Battery highlights NHOA Energy’s commitment to Australia’s energy transition, securing its position as a key player in the energy storage market.
Jean-Christophe Cheylus, CEO of Neoen Australia, emphasized the importance of the Blyth Battery in enhancing grid stability and reliability in South Australia. Lucie Kanius-Dujardin, Global Managing Director of NHOA Energy, praised the successful delivery, reinforcing the role of energy storage in sustainable and affordable energy supply.
