Novar has secured a subsidy under the SDE++ 2024 for 7 solar parks (204 MWp) and 15 rooftop projects (38 MWp), totaling 242 MWp. This supports the company's goal of reaching 4 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030.
The company focuses on helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and industries enhance sustainability by optimizing self-consumption and integrating energy storage for greater efficiency.
Jelmer Pijlman, Director and Co-founder of Novar, highlighted the growing challenges in the solar sector, noting the need for innovative solutions to electrify SMEs and industries, especially with grid congestion. "Generation, storage, and self-consumption optimization are crucial," he said, expressing pride in the team and stakeholders who contributed to these projects.
SDE++ Projects
The awarded projects include large-scale solar parks and innovative rooftop systems across provinces such as Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, North Brabant, South Holland, and Gelderland. Nearly all parks will feature battery storage in the future. These efforts contribute significantly to the Netherlands' energy transition, with rooftop projects focusing on logistics, industry, and agriculture, promoting energy efficiency and sustainability.
