NovaWind JSC and representatives of An Xuan Energy JSC signed an agreement on cooperation in the implementation of a wind farm construction project.
The conclusion of the agreement is aimed at organizing cooperation within the framework of the construction of a wind farm with a capacity of 128 MW in the Vietnamese province of Son La, located in the north-west of the country.
The document was signed by Nguyen Quang Luan, CEO of An Xuan Energy, and Grigory Nazarov, CEO of NovaWind JSC.
“Rosatom is already implementing a number of projects in Vietnam in the field of energy and science, and now these areas of cooperation are expanding. The development of wind energy will not only contribute to ensuring energy security and industrialization of the region, but will also accelerate the transition to an energy model that meets the goals of sustainable development,” said Grigory Nazarov.
“We are very pleased to sign a cooperation agreement with NovaWind, which is the wind energy division of Rosatom Corporation, on the construction of a wind farm in Son La province. This project will bring socio-economic benefits to Vietnam, the national energy system and the population of the province. In cooperation with NovaWind, we intend to ensure the commercial operation of the facility as planned,” said Nguyen Quang Luan.
