NPS Green Lake floating solar project connects to grid in Thailand

The NPS Green Lake floating solar project has been connected to the grid in Thailand.

The solar project has a total capacity of 60MW including two floating solar arrays of 30MW each. The solar plant is located at 304 Industrial Park in Prachinburi in central Thailand.

This floating solar project is expected to boost green development in the Prachinburi Industrial Park. Besides, it will also promote the local development of renewable energy, in the province and beyond.

The project has been developed by Thai’s National Power Supply Public Co (NPS). It is contracted and constructed by a consortium formed by China Energy Engineering (CEEC).

According to the company, the plant is likely “to generate 95 million kWh of electricity annually and reduce 750,000 tons of CO2 emissions.”

The company further stated that the Chinese company Sungrow had supplied a one-stop floating system solution for the project’s first phase
