Pad Res to build two solar photovoltaic farms in Poland

Renewable energy developer Pad Res is all set to build two solar photovoltaic farms in Poland.

The PV projects with a total capacity of 117MW will be located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. They will be constructed near the towns of Sztum and Mikołajki Pomorskie.

To be noted, earlier, Pad Res and Electrum have already worked together on the 35MW Genowefa photovoltaic farm in Central Poland.

"The renewable energy market in Poland is growing, and upcoming changes in the energy mix will necessitate the development of new capacity from renewable sources," senior vice president investments at Griffin Capital Partners Jędrzej Socha, was quoted in a statement.

He further stated, “The two new investments, with a combined capacity of 117MW, will significantly expand our portfolio.”

Meanwhile, Strategy & development director at Electrum Holding Jacek Popławski remarked, “We can now proudly announce a pipeline of next projects with a capacity of more than three times that amount.”
