Tilt Renewables' Palmer Wind Farm has received approval from South Australia’s State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) for its revised design. The 288MW project, located 50km east of Adelaide, will generate enough clean energy to power 142,000 homes while reducing annual greenhouse gas emissions by 212,000 tonnes.

Optimized Design: Advances in turbine technology have allowed for a more efficient layout, reducing the number of turbines from the original plan while increasing their height to 220m. This minimizes the project footprint by over 5,000 hectares.
Community Benefits: A $7 million community benefit fund will support energy subsidies, local health services, and adult education. Additional funding will be allocated to a Peramangk Partnership Fund, ensuring training and employment opportunities for First Nations people.
Economic Impact: Over the next 30 years, the project will invest $627.5 million in local employment and Australian/New Zealand industries, along with $10.4 million in community and First Nations initiatives.
Government Support: The project was awarded a Capacity Investment Scheme agreement in 2024, recognizing its strong commitment to local economic and social benefits.
