Q ENERGY France has entered into a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Alpiq France, enabling the supply of renewable electricity to Alpiq’s industrial clients starting from January 2026. The agreement covers the output of two solar power plants located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and PACA regions, with a total estimated volume of 345 GWh to be delivered between 2026 and 2040.
With over 25 years of expertise, Q ENERGY, a leader in the renewable energy sector in France, will oversee the development and operation of the two solar plants. This partnership underscores Q ENERGY's commitment to advancing the energy transition.
Alpiq France will provide integrated energy solutions, including selling the electricity through long-term or medium-term contracts (uPPA) and leveraging its extensive portfolio of industrial clients. Furthermore, Alpiq will integrate the plants into flexibility mechanisms such as the Balancing Mechanism, contributing to overall grid stability.
This collaboration further reinforces Alpiq France’s commitment to both climate action and energy security, in line with its core mission: "Together for a better climate and enhanced energy supply." Through this agreement, Q ENERGY continues to demonstrate its leadership in PPA execution while helping to decarbonize industry with innovative, high-performance solutions.
