Qair has received planning approval for its Straws Hadley Solar Farm, a 50 MWp solar project located in Aylesbury.
This approval marks the third major solar project to be greenlit for the company in the UK in 2024, following Lark Hill in Rochford and Washdyke Farm in Folkingham.
The grid connection applications for all three solar projects have been successfully submitted and approved by the Distribution Network Operator (DNO), and the company is now awaiting confirmation of the grid connection date, which will mark the start of construction.
The Straws Hadley approval comes just four months after Qair’s acquisition of Green Switch Capital, further highlighting the company’s growing presence in the UK. With this latest approval, Qair’s total approved solar capacity in 2024 now stands at 140.9 MWp.
