RlC Energy, a leading renewable energy company, has announced the start of construction on four out of eight planned photovoltaic plants in Nettuno, Italy.
These projects, which have reached the "ready to build" (RTB) status, mark a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to become a selective Independent Power Producer (IPP).
The four photovoltaic plants, with a total combined capacity of 5.3 megawatts (MWp), are expected to be completed by February 2025. The company plans to begin commissioning the remaining portfolio by the summer of 2025.
The projects will also benefit from Italy’s FER incentive scheme, with 50% of the energy generated from the plants being eligible for a regulated revenue structure over the next 20 years.
The construction of the plants is being managed by Enerqos Energy Solutions, with plans to expand the project portfolio following the completion of the initial plants.
