A global group of energy Shell has acquired at least 10 solar projects across Spain.
The company made such an acquisition from Green Tie Capital’s (GTC) platform. It is said to have a potential for 2GW of generation capacity once it comes into operation.
According to the company, the 2GW of projects are in either an early or an advanced stage of development.
The company informed that the latest agreement is followed by the framework deal signed with GTC earlier this year.
Óscar Fernández, Shell Spain country chairman, was quoted in a statement, “Shell's Group strategy is to lead the energy transition in the markets in which it operates. With this acquisition, we seek not only to increase the portfolio of renewable energy generation assets in the short term, but establish the capability to grow our renewal business in Spain further.”
It has been informed that the transaction has already been completed.
