Siam Piwat plans to power its operations with clean energy in Thailand



Retail developer Siam Piwat plans to power its overall operations with clean energy in Thailand.


The company announced its partnership with various sectors as part of its commitment to development of Pathumwan as a smart eco-district.


To be noted, the company has properties like Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery. Besides powering its operations with clean energy, the company plans to advance its 360° waste management program.


According to Naratipe Ruttapradid, Chief Operating Officer of Siam Piwat, the company plans to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 as per its sustainability goals.


The company has launched various initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote renewable energy usage. The initiatives included the installation of rooftop solar panels at ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok. It has also created sustainability learning hubs and created eco-friendly communities, a local report mentioned. The company has also built Recycle Collection Centers in partnership.


The company is collaborating with many clean energy organizations as part of a transition towards renewable energy. It aims to achieve RE100% by 2030 and further contribute to Thailand’s economy.
