UAE solar energy provider SirajPower has successfully commissioned a solar rooftop project. SirajPower is the leading distributed solar energy provider in the GCC region.
The company informed that it commissioned a 2.9MWp solar rooftop project at Al Tajir Glass Industries’ manufacturing facility. The industry is located in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area.
The project has not come into full operation.
According to the company, the project is expected to generate 4.6GWh of clean energy annually. The solar rooftop will offset over 2,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions every year.
The company stated that the project is in line with the UAE’s declaration of 2023 as the Year of Sustainability.
A local report mentioned that the “initiative is also in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to promote sustainable practices and transition towards a greener economy in the UAE.
