Spanish solar developer Solar Energy Structure has inked a deal for the divestment of up to 90 MW of PV projects.
It has been informed that the company signed a definitive agreement to a listed European independent power producer. The company plans to re-invest the raised funds into new projects in the Iberian market after this sale.
According to Solar Energy Structure, the binding contract includes the sale of three solar projects for around EUR 15 million.
The company further shared that the portfolio consists of projects that are currently in mid-stage development. They are likely to become ready in 2025.
Once the ready-for-construction stage is achieved by the projects, their ownership will be changed. The commercial operations will be targeted during 2026, a local report mentioned.
As per the agreement, Solar Energy Structure will handle permitting and grid-connection requirements for the projects.
“We look forward to progressing our pipeline in Spain to energization and contributing to the ambitious Spanish renewable transition,” company chief operating officer Kjetil Torper, remarked.
Currently, Solar Energy Structure is developing some 4 GW of projects. The company aims to take part in the upcoming renewable energy auction in Spain.
