SOLAR HOMES PROJECT LAUNCHED IN BARKA,OMAN

Seventeen households in the Wilayat of Barka are set to be powered by independent solar energy systems, each boasting an 8-kilowatt capacity. This development will directly reduce electricity costs for the beneficiary families and foster the adoption of renewable energy within the local community.
Recently, Nama Electricity Distribution Company in Barka organized an introductory meeting to showcase the Solar Energy Project for Healthy Villages.
The meeting took place at the office of Sayyid Tariq bin Mahmoud al Busaidy, the Wali of Barka. A team of engineers delivered a detailed presentation, elucidating the project's goals and operational processes.
During the event, Sayyid Tariq bin Mahmoud al Busaidy, speaking on the sidelines, characterized the initiative as a significant stride in promoting clean energy. He emphasized that it is in line with Oman Vision 2040 and the nation's net-zero targets.
The gathering, attended by government officials, community leaders, and members of the Municipal Council, delved into the project's specifics, implementation strategies, and anticipated economic and environmental advantages. Representatives from the management and engineers from Nama Electricity Distribution Company and Al Forsan Al Asrah Company were also present at the meeting.
This project is part of Nama Electricity Distribution's broader endeavors to implement sustainable solutions and fortify community partnerships. The targeted completion date for the project is the fourth quarter of 2025.
At the meeting's conclusion, the company reaffirmed its dedication to driving clean energy initiatives, serving citizens and society, and supporting the national shift towards sustainable energy sources.
