Solarvest Holdings Berhad is all set to launch a Green Energy Lab in Malaysia.
Solarvest Borneo Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) and Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for the same.
As per the agreement, the lab will be used to develop local talents to support the company’s growth in the clean energy industry.
The lab will be located in Kuching, Sarawak.
According to the company, the “lab will provide a green energy-related learning program involving solar, green mobility, battery storage systems, as well as green hydrogen.”
Director of Solarvest Borneo, Leon Liew Chee Ing commented, “As envisioned by the Sarawak Government to transform the State into a regional renewable energy powerhouse, this program is timely in nurturing the talents needed for the industry to attain the vision.”
He further stated that this partnership is a part of company’s five-year Strategic Roadmap to transform into a regenerative clean energy expert.
It has been informed that the Green Energy Lab will focus on three programs, Solar, Green Mobility & Storage, and Green Hydrogen.
The latest step is expected to help the country achieve its carbon neutrality goals by fulfilling the green industry market needs and demands.
