Sunview Group Berhad has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Huawei Technologies Malaysia for strategic cooperation in renewable energy.
Sunview has been working in engineering, procurement, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic facilities for industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.
According to the company statement, its wholly owned subsidiary, Fabulous Sunview Sdn. Bhd. has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei Malaysia.
The agreement is for a period of 12 months according to which Huawei Malaysia will be a technology provider while Sunview will work as a strategic fulfilment partner.
It has been informed that the duo will “collaborate in the field of renewable energy such as introduction of electric vehicle (EV) charging, microgrid, telecommunications site modernization and energy storage solutions on a non-exclusive basis.”
Sunview Group Berhad Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Charlie Chow Kian Hung was quoted in a statement, “Sunview is honoured to collaborate with Huawei on the strategic partnership for new development in the renewable energy. With the increasing adoption of renewable energy worldwide, the strategic partnership with Huawei comes at an opportune time where Sunview will be able to create more value with the technology from Huawei in assisting more Malaysian companies in the transition to renewable energy usage.”
Meanwhile, Huawei Malaysia Vice President of Digital Power Business Group Chong Chern Peng remarked, “Leveraging our expertise in digital technologies and power electronics, Huawei Digital Power has created all-scenario low-carbon energy solutions, covering the whole energy flow from green power generation to efficient power consumption.
