Thailand's PRIME ESCO wins significant private PPA contracts: Expands renewable energy portfolio

PRIME ESCO Company Limited, a subsidiary of Prime Road Power Public Company Limited (PRIME), has recently finalized two significant Private Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with S.Khonkaen Foods Public Company Limited. The agreements, spanning over a period of 12 years each, were inked in February and April 2024, respectively. Under these agreements, PRIME ESCO will provide a combined total capacity of 0.85 megawatts to S.Khonkaen Foods.

These pioneering projects mark a strategic move for PRIME, facilitating the generation of approximately THB 3.17 million in annual income. The agreements underscore PRIME’s commitment to fostering sustainable energy solutions and expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector.

Moreover, PRIME is actively engaged in negotiations for additional Private PPA projects through its subsidiaries. Anticipated to exceed 10.00 megawatts in total capacity, these forthcoming projects are expected to secure Letter of Award status in the second quarter of the fiscal year. The delay in the announcement of auction winners has contributed to the extended negotiation period.

By diversifying its portfolio and leveraging its expertise in the renewable energy market, PRIME aims to further consolidate its position as a key player in Thailand’s energy landscape. These initiatives not only bolster PRIME’s revenue streams but also align with its overarching mission of promoting sustainable energy practices.
