The Torozos II wind farm has started its operation in Spain.
The energy multinational Naturgy announced the opening of the plant. The project has an installed capacity of 35.2MW.
It is the company’s second plant in Castromonte, Spain. It has been informed that the project has an investment of more than €39m.
According to the company, the wind park consists of 16 wind turbines. It further informed that the farm will generate energy of around 101.5GWh annually.
This will be enough to sustain the annual electricity consumption of over 29,100 homes, Naturgy said, adding that the project was able to generate 460 jobs.
It has been informed that following the operation of Torozos II project, the company now has more than 780MW of installed renewable power in the area.
Naturgy said that this generated power is across 24 wind farms, 9 hydroelectric plants and 1 PV plant.
