TotalEnergies to support offshore wind initiatives in the Netherlands

TotalEnergies is all set to explore partnership for offshore wind initiatives in the Netherlands.

The company is considering joining hands with several platforms to support its offshore wind development activities in the Dutch market.

Among many, TotalEnergies will join hands with Netherlands Wind Energy Association among other platforms. It also includes joining the SIMOX project (Sustainable Installation of XXL Monopiles), the company said.

To be noted, it is part of the “growth through Research, Development & Demonstration in Offshore Wind in the Netherlands program.”

It has been informed that this would enable TotalEnergies to develop and to implement innovative technologies for the installation of XXL monopiles. Besides, it is joining hands with the Dutch Marine Energy Center too.

“We are pleased to join several Offshore Wind platforms and the Marine Excellence Centre for Clean Energy in the Netherlands to develop and demonstrate cost-effective and reliable technology solutions for offshore wind and hybrid systems as well as ensuring highest ecological benefits from our activities,” Robert Joore, Country Chair of TotalEnergies in the Netherlands, remarked.

He further stated that the company is one step towards its ambition of Net Zero by 2050.

Meanwhile, TotalEnergies has been engaged in a development programme of green energy projects.
