
TrinaTracker, a subsidiary of Trinasolar and a leader in smart solar tracking solutions, has launched a new manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. Expected to begin operations in Q1 2025, the plant will specialize in TrinaTracker’s Vanguard series of solar trackers and smart control systems, with an annual production capacity of 3GW.
This new facility is part of a land lease agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) and will be located in Jeddah’s 3rd Industrial City.
The Saudi solar market, projected to reach USD 125.2 billion by 2033, is expanding rapidly, and this new factory aligns with the Kingdom’s renewable energy goals. The factory also supports Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to energy diversification, job creation, and long-term sustainability in the region.

Vincent Wu, Global Sales VP at Trinasolar, emphasized that the new facility will enhance local service capabilities, increase delivery efficiency, and provide innovative solar tracking solutions to the region, boosting energy resilience.
In addition, TrinaTracker's smart tracking systems are designed to handle the challenging climate conditions of the region, including sand, strong winds, and high temperatures. By improving energy generation by 8% annually, the systems increase returns for solar project owners.
The company also celebrates the success of the Abydos Battery Energy Storage Project in Egypt, marking a milestone with the completion of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for the Elementa 2 system at Trina Storage's Super-Factory in China.
