German renewable energy group UKA has recently extended an existing framework agreement with wind turbine maker Nordex SE with the intention of placing binding orders for up to 1,000 MW by the end of 2025.
The wind and solar projects developer announced this on Thursday, saying that the first systems will be purchased this year. In total, the new framework would make it possible to add enough capacity to produce power for about 80,000 three-person households, the company estimates.
UKA says it currently has an onshore wind project pipeline of around 1.8 GW in the approval process in Germany. Its latest deal with Nordex follows an agreement that was extended once already in 2022.
