Vestas has inked a deal for the 1200MW offshore Baltic Power project in Poland.
The company has already signed a conditional agreement for the same. The project site is located 22.5km from shore.
It has been informed that the project “will feature 12MW-plus turbines on monopile foundations at depths of 33 metres to 45 metres,” a local report mentioned.
According to the company, the latest development is a joint venture between PKN ORLEN and Northland Power.
The project is likely to be operational for over 25 years once it achieves commercial operations.
