Vietnam has sought cooperation in areas of green transition, renewable energy and climate change response.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed this during a meeting with Chief Executive Officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Scott A. Nathan.
During the talks, PM Chinh urged the US to continue its support in these different areas.
Besides, the leader also proposed promoting cooperation in sustainable development of the Mekong River to improve the material and spiritual life of people in the region, a local report mentioned.
The duo also discussed implementing new cooperation mechanisms with other countries in the region.
The Prime Minister is reported to have said that the two countries should pick key projects, particularly regional connectivity projects to help achieve the maximum result.
In response, the CEO of DFC said that it looks forward to "promoting cooperation in the fields of climate change response and renewable energy among others.
