X-ELIO, a global leader in renewable energy, has reached an agreement with Tion Renewables for the sale of a 50 MW solar plant in Almeria, Spain. The deal strengthens both companies’ strategies in driving the energy transition.
The solar plant, operational since 2023, generates enough power to meet the annual electricity needs of 25,000 households. It benefits from a secured offtake via a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), solidifying its position as a key contributor to sustainable energy in the region.
This acquisition expands Tion Renewables’ presence in Spain, aligning with its goal to become a leading European renewable energy producer. For X-ELIO, the transaction reinforces its position as a global renewable energy powerhouse and showcases its ability to deliver high-quality projects that attract international investment.
The deal is subject to standard closing conditions and is expected to be finalized by early February.
