Zelestra, a global renewable energy company, has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Celepsa, a Peruvian power generation and marketing firm under the UNACEM Group.
The agreement secures the supply of around 450 GWh of renewable energy annually for Celepsa’s operations and supports its commitment to sustainability.
The PPA will enable the construction of a new 238 MWdc solar project in Peru. Together with the upcoming San Martín project, Zelestra now holds over 530 MWdc of contracted capacity in the country.
This partnership marks a key step in Peru’s energy transition. The agreement also includes I-REC certificates, ensuring the traceable renewable origin of the energy supplied.
Zelestra emphasized its strategic focus on delivering custom decarbonization solutions, while Celepsa sees the deal as a milestone in building a diversified renewable portfolio for its clients and advancing its sustainable growth plan.
