
Zelestra, a global renewable energy company, has won a Firm & Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) contract from Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN), a leading Indian public sector enterprise. The contract paves the way for a 500MW hybrid energy project in Solapur, Maharashtra, integrating solar, wind, and battery storage to deliver round-the-clock clean energy, including supply during critical peak demand hours.
Project Overview
🔹 500MW hybrid system: ~250MWdc solar, 180MW wind, and 90MWh battery storage (BESS)
🔹 Expected online in 2027
🔹 Annual generation of 815GWh, enough to power 225,000 Indian households
🔹 CO₂ reduction: ~0.7 million tonnes annually
As a vertically integrated energy provider, Zelestra will develop, construct, own, and operate the project, reinforcing its role as a leader in multi-technology clean energy solutions.

With this project, Zelestra strengthens its 5.4GW clean energy pipeline across seven Indian states, accelerating India's transition to a sustainable and resilient power system.
